Mónica Garcia

Her beginnings date back to when she studied at the design shool of the Instituto Europeo, where today she teaches. One of her exercises was to customize a ballerina. She was surprised by the swiftness of her success, when a number of well established vendors became interested in her designs. In her creations we find year after year the perfecting of a technique. We see an infinitude of materials, leathers, fabrics, patterns, tulles and ornamental details she includes in all of her shoes, resulting in a nurtured, coquette and very feminine image. When we look at the final results, we first notice the care with which Mónica treats the multiple combinations and the number of specialized workshops each of her models goes through, in what is a return to artisan techniques; every last detail is taken care of.
